Our Lord's greatness is just too much to comprehend. I am astounded at how he has moved among us all. His presence has been made known in this last barangay. I have learned so much. I have learned that missionaries have it hard! That I truly do need to rely upon the solid rock that I profess to stand on. I have had to daily pray that God would remove anything of myself so that His spirit could fill me and use me.
We have been experiencing a lot of spiritual warfare. I dont mean team unity, or just feeling off. I mean, scary, trembling in fear warfare. This is something I was not prepared for. A woman came up to our "treehouse" and told us that she lived next door. That there was an evil spirit in her house and that the man who was there was possessed. We would wake up from bad dreams in a cold sweat and shaking in fear. Our translators were having a hard time keeping focus. We would walk through a certain area of the village and every ounce of us would be drained. Certain houses have a stronghold of the RCC on them. You can physically feel it. Please pray! Pray that we would bind together and beat this. The glory belongs to God! Forever and ever!!
We have also had 17 people profess Christ!! And I can say that it was the most humbling experience ever. The first bible study we had was incredible. As I was walking over I just told one of my teammates that I did not feel like I was prepared enough and that I was not going to do a good job. So, I prayed "Ok, Lord, I feel inadequate and useless, but use me please. Whatever happens, you get all the praise, because only you are worthy." So I went and taught about the Samaritan woman. About Living Water. How Jesus went to her in complete care and love. These two older women spoke up immediately and said "How can I have this living water?". SOOOOO, we led them in a prayer to the Lord!!!
I have so many other stories. but lastly, about the two girls our age. Sarah and I had been hanging out with them and their babies every day. I asked this woman if she knew about Jesus Christ. All she knew was that He was born in a manger! This woman had no idea who Jesus was!! can you imagine!!!?? this is unreached people. There are literally people in the world who do not know the Savior. long story short, we shared the Gospel and saw her eyes open to the Lord for the first time ever. She cried out abba father and said she desired to study the Bible.
So for safety reasons we left the Barangary early. Spiritual and physical safety. Please pray!!! Let all your friends and family know! Spread the Word! We leave tomorrow morning for our next barangay. Pray for safety. That we would focus on the Lord! We live by your prayers! Keep them coming!!
